In 2023, AXEBREAKER was invited to play a few dates with UK doom industrial band KHOST, to prepare AXEBREAKER composed two different sets for these shows. These sets were mirror images of each other composed with both ambience and intense noise power-electronics trading off in places with different sets.

This is the first document from these sets. On LIVE ASSAULT X, SIDE A presents a brutal live set recorded in Spring 2023 from AXEBREAKER's assault at The Crown in Baltimore, MD. While SIDE B contains a document of a rehearsal for this show straight from the mixer.

"In the realm of 3D Printing, particularly the FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) process, the creation of a raft, or foundational footprint, is often required to ensure the adhesion of the print to the build plate. This prelude to the final form, while functional in nature, often manifests as a strange, almost alien pattern – an unanticipated growth of filament that mirrors an offset of the base profile - and also a wild and chaotic geometry reminiscent of a forgotten biome. These preliminary layers serve as the root to a more deliberate structure, yet, they are unpredictable – disequilibrating the user’s intentions as they blossom into unforeseen patterns."

SENSORY OVERLORD is the solo synth project created by Logan Terkelsen from Curse. Formed in Baltimore in 2024, Sensory Overlord is dark, evocative and meant for deep listening. It is adjacent to many dungeons but as ascendant as the synthwave of Zombi or soft vibrations of classic kosmiche. It remains difficult to classify while still having moments of aural familiarity. The project is inspired by soundtracks, classic and contemporary synth music, extreme metal interludes and dungeon synth alike.

RESIGNATION 7"
"Resignation" is Axebreaker’s most concise and focused statement to date: a raw chronicle of disillusionment in a time of social collapse. Presented as a double-sided 7” lathe and live C30 cassette housed in a 7”x7” box with folded poster, this limited edition of 25 offers no comfort, no redemption. Begun as an album, in 2022, and honed over the years and mutated into this brief assault.

This release serves as both a document of an evolution of disillusionment and a defiant statement. Resignation does not whisper its intent—it explodes from the start. There is no subtlety here, and that’s the point. Resignation is a refusal—a rejection of the false choices offered by collapsing institutions, authoritarianism, and the illusion of participation. Axebreaker’s sound has always been political, however this is not a manifesto - it’s an autopsy. And what remains is corrosion, distortion, and disgust.
