Hello we are doing an open casting call for a new Actual Play podcast Guns, Gas, and Gods: Gloomtrain using the Umerica Survival Guide for Dungeon Crawl Classics system by Shield of Faith Studios. This is a Gonzo Post Apocalyptic with both Alien Tech and Horrific Magics. The story involves guarding the transport of Gloom W**d, a plant that can be refined into a miracle medicine or a potent intoxicating drug from the Land of NecroTech, to the Grand Citadel of Scrap for the Astroliches of Seattle via the Gloomtrain. A session 0 will occur before recording but a few things that are set in stone that may not be cool with some players: The story will involve drugs and drug use, body horror, what happens to your body after you are dead, capitalism and its bu****it especially where it concerns with doing things you probably don’t want to do for survival, and some characters with supremacist ideals as villains.
We have 3 spots available for cast members and Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Q***r, Trans are encouraged to apply. Sessions will happen the first and third sunday of each month for Oct, Nov, Dec, and Jan, with session zero occurring September 21st exact times tbd. Cast members must attend session zero and at least 6 out of the 8 sessions to be considered.
What we need from you is a voice recording of your answer to these questions:
Name or Handle, pronouns,
your ttrpg experience,
your performative ttrpg experience if any,
Time and Dates available,
do you have access to Umerica Survival Guide and Dungeon Crawl Classics books,
any general lines and veils you have,
how you heard about this post,
how you feel about character death,
your favorite post apocalyptic or sword and sorcery media and why you like it,
and finally your favorite moment from an Actual Play Podcast or Live Stream and why its your favorite,
sent to our email [email protected] via an email you would like us to contact you back on.
Our goal is to uplift our community and get performers started in the AP scene. These roles are unpaid but if we get more money paying positions will be opening up. Submissions will close September 16th 2025. We plan for more shows to happen so keep an ear or eye open for more casting calls. Thank you for considering us nd we look forward to hearing from you.

Here is the first episode of our new series Reign of the Void Emperor. the setting is an original Rokugan just after the great clan wars that lasted 500ish years. Massive Demilitarization has led to many Vagabonds, Ronin, and Bandits and this new series involves three such Vagabonds trying to care for themselves and their community.
