Dancetime Publications videos provide instruction, historical context, and entertainment for all dance lovers. Through our film documentaries and videos, novices, experts, choreographers, students, and teachers relive the music, fashion, and movements that comprise the heritage of Western dance. Dancetime Publications maintains a partnership with Amazon.com to provide reliable, excellent service a

nd access to a constantly growing variety of dance videos, such as in-depth studies of traditional and contemporary ballet, international folk, modern, jazz, and tap styles. Built upon decades of research and hundreds of years of artifacts, our repertoire of digital media seeks to fill gaps in the study of social dance. We begin our collection with the social dances of 15th and 16th century renaissance Italian courts, such as the dignified ballo and the lively volta. Next, we reach deep into the 17th and 18th century French baroque court, where elegant minuets and intricate court dances gave rise to many of our classical traditions, including ballet. Follow the evolution of dance into 19th century romantic waltzes, quadrilles, and cotillions, and watch as we plunge into the 20th century, when America’s multicultural roots shaped contemporary dance movements. Dance fads such as ragtime, jazz, and hip-hop were born from Latin and African-American roots in ballrooms and urban street scenes.

Paint Loudoun Red (2/2/24) was a phenomenal event!! I had the opportunity to be a part of this awesome moment and as CEO of and , I’m not only a business owner but a scholar and archivist of dance and performer!

I recall early in my career I was asked what I wanted to do with dance and I would say: “dance, teach dance and write about dance” … I’d get a frown, some confusion… even dismay … “you have to pick one!”, a typical response … During my doctoral studies in dance I was told: “scholar or an artist, you have to choose!” That never made sense to me … how could I dance, understand movement, culture (every culture has movement and dance) and allow myself to think through dance, make sense of the world through movement without wrapping my mind around it in ways possible?! I never lost sight of what made sense to me in my body and in my brain about movement and dance and that being a tool for expression and understanding.

I was grateful to have been a part of this event with my family and with the community ❤️❤️! Honored to be invited and share my story through words and movement.

Awareness. Advocacy. Actionability. It’s been 11 years since the discovery of the holes in my heart and what the journey was to discovery, repair and post repair has been something I still cannot believe I’ve gone through. ❣️🥰 I aim to live everyday to the fullest!

NDEO National Awardees🌟

It’s almost that time a year again!! Here is a photo of me in Denver, Colorado at the 2023 ND3.9 National Conference to award our recipients of the NDEO 2023 National Awards🌟

This year I am serving another year in my elected position as Director of Awards for NDEO and Advsory Board of Directors. In addition to being CEO of just wrapping up some dance and AI research with META and opening my dance/arts space (like being a wife, mom to 5 kiddos is not enough!), I am honored to serve as another year and I am looking forward to this year’s awards process.

Last year we had a phenomenal time in Denver Colorado for our National Conference! This year we will be in the beautiful state of Washington!

For this award’s cycle, we are continuing our expanded awards categories and are including a new award this year! Stay tuned for more!

As Director of Awards & Advisory Board of Directors at NDEO, I will again have the honor of moderating our award ceremonies. This year’s conference and application dates will be announced soon! Thank you for your support and encourage you to apply!

Looking forward to this phenomenal event!! Always passionate about healthy hearts and sharing my journey and testimony to inspire others. Awareness. Advocacy. Actionability. It’s been 11 years since the discovery of the holes in my heart and what the journey was to discovery, repair and post repair has been something I still cannot believe I’ve gone through. Were there any signs? What did I feel? What were my two heart procedures like? Do I have a pace maker? How do I maintain my health today? How do I balance the daily ins and outs of motherhood/family and career and wait for it … low stress - cause happy healthy hearts do not like stress - this and more from myself and other panelists on healthy hearts at Paint Loudoun Red❣️🥰

NDEO 2022 National Awardees🌟

As many of you know, I am not only the CEO of Publications, a Professor of Dance @ Shenandoah University, among other fun thing (like being a wife, mom to 5 kiddos and performerwho runs her own art practice), I am also honored to serve as a Director of Awards for NDEO and Advsory Board of Directors!

This year, we expanded our awards categories and updated our review process to widen our search bringing more visibility to outstanding dance and dance educators from across the nation!

As Director of Awards & Advisory Board of Directors at NDEO, I had the distinct honor of moderating both our NDEO 2022 Virtual Ceremony and our in-person award ceremony in Atlanta at our NDEO 2022 Conference, Let’s Make Dance Together: Reigniting the Creative Spark. To say the least, the awardee panel engendered a lively discussion! And thank you to all who were able to come out to support!

If you missed either or both, don’t fret! Stay tuned for a link to view the Virtual Ceremony recording and more from our in-person ceremony in Atlanta earlier this month in posts to follow here and on our Facebook and Twitter Platforms!
