Join the Fest! The Magic City 205 Youth Film Festival 🎬🎥

Mark your calendars for the Magic City 205 Youth Film Festival happening June 28-29, 2025 in Birmingham! 🌟 This exciting event celebrates the creativity and talent of young filmmakers from grades 4-12.

Kick off the weekend at the Alcove (1713 4th Ave N) on June 28 with a reception from 4:00pm-5:00pm, followed by a VIP adult reception and panel discussion from 5:30pm-7:00pm. 🎤

On June 29, the festival takes over Birmingham’s historic 4th Avenue North with screenings from 10:00am-2:00pm. Don’t miss the awards show at the Carver Theater (1631 4th Ave N) from 5:00pm-7:00pm! 🏆

This fun-filled day includes the Kid Zone, activities, and plenty of food trucks to enjoy. 🍔🎉

A scissor-tailed flycatcher was spotted by one of our friends from the sitting on a power line, on the lookout for bugs. They lined it up in the scope, and I managed to take this picture! hope you like it!

Limestone Park was absolutely gorgeous! The standout for me was the I saw there. I love how their white feathers made them stand out from all the greenery. Chrissi Burrell

I was walking the Roswell Boardwalk and saw this beautiful Double-crested ! I took some photos before he flew off.

In February, I spotted these beautiful waxwings flying overhead and snapped this photo before they passed over quickly. Their soft trills make them stand out, even from a distance.
