I am posting this incident just to aware all of you the importance of GST and official FBR invoice slip .
So today I visited this place Hot'n'Chilli PWD (Hot-N-Chilli pwd brach along with my 3 friends and ordered their BBQ platter which was no doubt very good in serving and very tasty but the issue we faced was when the waiter gave the attached bill which didn’t have any FBR invoice number on it and yet they were charging 17% GST (Rs 840) i asked the waiter to provide the original FBR invoice on which he called the manager to deal with me . I asked the manager to provide me the original FBR invoice with clearly mentioned invoice number so i can verify the bill online through FBR app ( Tax Asaan) the manager refused to provide that slip on which i refused to pay the tax and paid only the amount 4940 .
This post is just to increase the awareness that if there’s no FBR official invoice stop paying the GST because this GST will never reach the government .
Also register a complaint on FBR app against these restaurants who are using fake invoices and collecting taxes for their own pockets. Let’s collectively change this system and country.
