Another year of the 48 Hour Film Project is in the books! This was our 14th year doing and as always, it was a highlight of my year to be able to take a weekend and make something incredibly fun with great friends. We had such a fun time representing San Antonio at Filmapalooza this past weekend! There were so many incredible 48 Hour Films from almost 125 cities around the world, so it was especially thrilling to learn that our film won the global award for “Best Use of Prop”! It’s been a while, so let’s “ketchup”!

Paper Ketchup Productions has been working with a variety of clients to share their stories and passion for the causes they represent. Over the next few months, we plan to highlight some of them on our socials.

Bringing stories to life is what Paper Ketchup is all about. Our name, while it might seem unusual, has a story of its own that represents who we are and what we do.

Paper Ketchup started as a song, later became a movie and eventually the name of our production company. You see, “Paper Ketchup” began as a way to use letters (paper) to “catch-up”. While letter writing may seem archaic today, it’s a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation - to strengthen relationships and connections.

In this paperless generation, our passion is to share your organization’s story through video. If you have a cause that’s close to your heart or a message you want to express, reach out to us. We would love to creatively work with you to share that story with the world!

It was such an honor to represent San Antonio at this year’s , and a thrill to come away from this global competition with an award! “It Goggles the Mind” won for Best Graphic Design and we’re so glad we made it out to LA for the screening, the awards ceremony, and to experience the worldwide community!

At long last, and over three years after this photo, I’m excited to finally release Mallwalkers online for everyone to view and share. I had such a great time working on this fun film with the talented and , whose performances cracked me up throughout the editing process. And it absolutely couldn’t have been done without all the talented folks who helped make it happen behind the scenes! Thank you so much to the many hands that touched this film. 👏

What a night! I’m so proud of our 48 Hour Film Team. Each year it’s a blast to participate and get to make fun films with friends. The recognition is really just icing on the cake, but this year had so much icing! The whole team also got well-deserved shout-outs with wins in Writing, Directing, Music, Editing, VFX, Use of Prop, Use of Character, and Supporting Acting wins for Lucas and Tammy on top of Acting nominations for Ora and Eddie. Congratulations to everyone!
