This year, our annual celebration of young people and conservation runs Saturday 15th August to Sunday 23rd August 2026 and includes an exciting mix of activities for 11-25 year olds who love wildlife.
Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to experience new activities, get outdoors, and meet like-minded people.

Rare chance to step inside one of Britain's oldest windmills

Have a go at pushing the windmill round on its post or riding in it when it is being pushed around!
It's a fantastic day out for all ages, families and friends!
The mill is open on Sunday 23rd August from 2pm, with last tours at 4pm.
Refreshments are available with home made cakes, teas and coffee or cordials.
Entry £4 adults, Children £1 (under 5s go free).
CPPF members are free.

23 June 2026 marked the start of work on the new Greenbank Community Building, adjacent to Crow Hill Allotments. The land was given to the community by the developers as part the original consent for Cambourne and intended for Scout and Girl Guide usage.
The project commenced some three years ago with planning permission granted in August 2024. Since then, Cambourne Town Council has been working with local groups to deliver the new building.
The principal users of the building will include the Girl Guide and Scout groups as well as Cambourne Shed, with other community groups and residents also able to hire the facility.
The project will now progress at pace, water servicing, drainage and electrical works have been commissioned and installation has started. The building itself is expected to be delivered in late September, subject to the weather.
It is hoped that the new community facility will be completed and available for use by the end of the year.
