The Israeli Air Force have attacked the Port of Hodeida, with the purpose of the attack to disable the port for several more weeks after the damages from the previous attack were repaired. So far 12 strikes were recorded.
Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz:
"The Air Force is currently attacking the port of Hodeidah in Yemen to ensure the continuation of the naval and air blockade on the Houthi terrorist organization. The Houthi terrorist organization will continue to suffer blows and will pay painful prices for every attempt to attack the State of Israel."
IDF statement:
"A short while ago, the IDF struck military infrastructure belonging to the Houthi terror regime at the port of Hodeidah in Yemen.
The port of Hodeidah is used by the terror regime for the transfer of weapons from the Iranian regime, which are employed to carry out terror operations against the State of Israel and its allies.
The strike was carried out in response to repeated attacks conducted by the terror regime against the State of Israel, during which unmanned aerial vehicles and surface-to-surface missiles were launched toward Israeli territory.
The Houthi terror regime operates under Iranian direction and funding in order to harm Israel and its allies. The regime exploits the maritime domain to project power and conduct terror activity against passing ships and trade in the international shipping lanes.
The IDF will continue to act with force against the repeated attacks of the Houthi terror regime against the State of Israel, and is determined to continue to strike with intensity at any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel, at any distance required."
