A RANDOM HIATUS
Ahoy, Random-Fans~!
Y’know, when Doug and I first talked about doing a comic book podcast where I could sit down and chat with some of the people I’d met over the years, I told him we would call it Random Acts of Comics.
I dug the title because it meant it could be anything. And, though I’ve really loved the conversations we’ve had here with old friends and some new ones, I always dreamed of this podcast being something more, something different, something…well…random. I really wanted to embrace the random.
Along with the biographical, “This Is Your Life” style interviews — and the always fun “What’s your favorite comic book?” questions — I dreamed of a show where we could go beyond all that and try some new stuff. Maybe do some skits or comedy bits, some games, some dramatized scenes from classic comics.
And we’ve been working on some of that.
The problem is that those kinds of productions take time. And money.
Recently, Doug and I have both, respectively, taken on some new work with more demanding responsibilities, paying gigs that require more time than we thought. In the past year or so, we’ve been fairly consistent, putting out an episode a week — a pretty impressive feat, if you ask me — and while we would both love to just keep on keeping on, sadly, we need to now have the “random” in Random Acts of Comics apply to our schedule going forward. What I’m saying is, Random Acts of Comics is going on a bit of a hiatus.
Well, let’s call it a Random Hiatus. We’ll continue to post a new episode every now and then, so keep us in your subscription feed so you’ll know when something new drops. We have more cool guests lined up and some other fun stuff in the works, but right now our schedule is random.
