We also invite you to watch "The Poet" by Juli Saragosa.
Juli was almost quitting the Challenge as she found the 90 words to be "misogynist and shaming to s*x workers". We then invited Juli to transform this feelings into an audiovisual. Our vision is that the 90 words are just words and the contestants, with their talent, are the ones who will provide them with meaning and context. This is what Juli made, enjoy!

As seen on the live stream, the winner of the 90to5 Video Challenge 2019 is "Kentsugi" by Malena Catoni!!
Congratulations Malena, you will attend to the Video Mapping workshop at the 2020 International Video Mapping Festival in Lille (France), hosted by our colleagues Rencontres Audiovisuelles on April 2020.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to create a video mapping for the Opera House of Lille working side by side with media artists from all over the world!!!

Wondering which were the 90 words?
For this first edition, we decided to go local. The 90 words are part of a poem written by Ingo Munz, a well-known contemporary and controversial poet from North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) who wrote this piece especially for the Challenge.
We aimed the contestants to keep in mind that these are just words and that it was them who were going to provide meaning with their talent.

Our goal was to see the process of transforming a piece of literature into the world of filmmaking, and also, how the metaphrase, the literal translation of the 90 words are not restricting the thousands of meanings that filmmakers can provide to them.
