I shot the photo of Sean Astin (and the dog!) for this movie poster—pretty cool that it’s finally coming out! 📸 But meeting and photographing Rudy, Mikey from The Goonies, Sam from Lord of the Rings, and Bob from Stranger Things was pretty awesome. Definitely worth setting up a green screen on set, staying up late, missing a friend’s birthday party, and squeezing in shots between scenes! Thanks Rudy!

"Discipline Equals Freedom" Advice from Jocko that Changed My Life.

He wrote many great books including "Discipline Equals Freedom" and my favorite, "Extreme Ownership." Between his advice and James Clear's advice from Atomic Habits, in this short video, you can change your life by applying these two things. Read those books, and if you want more, just ask.

How to Go Full-Time as a Photographer or Video Creator

1. Freelancing:

Work as a contractor on various shoots—whether for production companies, friends, on bigger sets, or on small sets as a second shooter, drone op, or gimbal. In this role, you're capturing content for another company rather than dealing directly with the client.

2. Company Employment

Going full-time doesn’t have to mean a 9-to-5 job. You could work for a video marketing agency, assist a YouTuber, join a photography company, or manage social media for a brand. These roles offer stability while allowing you to use your creative skills.

3. Starting Your Own Business

Here, you're the boss. This means owning your clients, setting your prices, and building your processes. Unlike freelancing, where you’re hired by a company to work on their client’s project, running your own business puts you in direct contact with your clients, giving you full control over your work and income. However, “With great power, comes great responsibility.”

4. Online Opportunities

Online is vast. You can sell products or services exclusively online, offer remote work like editing or writing, sell services like 1-on-1 coaching & group coaching, and create digital assets such as eBooks, courses, or LUTs. With content marketing, you can build an audience and monetize through Google AdSense, sponsorships, exclusive content, and more.

I hope this helps you on your journey to doing what you love full-time!
