The Black Box Warning is all you need.
If a medication carries the highest warning our FDA offers —
for increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors —
why are we still handing it out to young people
as if it’s a harmless rite of passage into adulthood?

And let’s be honest —
that language on the Black Box is negotiated.
It’s the result of compromises, committees, and concessions —
not the full scope of lived experience, adverse events,
or the long-term outcomes no one is tracking.

If the warning we do see is the negotiated version,
imagine what the unedited version might say.

The Black Box Warning should have been the pause button.
Instead, it became background noise.
