We made these cute squidgy characters with Galop specifically so they could get hate crimed 😅

And you can visit them for the rest of June at Outernet-London just outside Tottenham Court Road station in Central London 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Still completely over the moon about winning the audience award at the British Animation Film Festival the other week 🥹 It’s obviously incredible having a jury select your film, but sitting in a room full of people and having THEM select it is a whooole other level.

Another million thank yous to everyone at the British Museum that night, and of course to the BIAF team for their brilliant event! 💜

This year, our audience got involved and chose their favourite film for The Audience Award which went to the magnetic “Loneliness & Laundry”!

We’re still reeling (🎞️) from Friday night at The Film Festival Guild’s British Animation Film Festival. Somehow our animated short film Loneliness & Laundry came home with two awards! Two! That’s mad!!

Thank you so much to the festival team for organising a genuinely fun and engaging event, to the presenters for managing the evening so well, to the other filmmakers for making some incredible films that we love love loved viewing, and of course to everyone in the audience for not only watching our film but voting for it as their favourite of the night (‼️😭🤯❤️) ”Overwhelmed“ is definitely an understatement 🙈

Stunned and hugely, hugely honoured that our short film Loneliness & Laundry was awarded the Short Animation Grand Prize at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2025!

We spent the four days at bathing in Japan’s incredible animation culture. We watched 25 amazing short films and 3 wonderful features. We visited the Ghibli Museum. But mostly we spent the weekend in a cloud of amazement at how seriously animation was being taken. We’re so used to animation being an underfunded afterthought: written off as kids’ stuff or the occasional quirky-but-heartfelt Christmas film. We were hugely unprepared for an event (and a country) that holds animation in such high regard as an artform.

We were even more unprepared to actually receive an award, never mind the Grand Prize. Like! What! We didn’t expect it at all! Jonny wore a shirt with monkeys on it to the awards ceremony because we were so certain that we’d be clapping in the audience the whole time, and now that shirt is immortalised in a picture of him meeting the Governor of Tokyo!

Our tone as a company is usually quite sardonic but I’m afraid we don’t have it in us to be sarcastic little rats about this one. What a shock. What an honour. What an absolutely life-changing weekend.
