In this season of my life I vowed not to let business consume all of me, so Iā€™m very intentional about implementing the things I used to love doing back into my routine.

Growing up my mom had all the books , and I was addicted just like her. So here I am diving back in, but Ashley (Ashley Antoinette Coleman) has me STRESSED OUT!

Let me start with I was warned starting this series , BUT BABYYYYY this series got me on an emotional rollercoaster šŸŽ¢ FOREAL. Just to think I still have 10 books to go , my hair is pinned up so it wonā€™t fall out at this point šŸ˜‚.

Raven irked my soul. Idk if I love or am I mad at Ethic right now. Morgan and Messiah are stressing me. My heart aches for Alani.

Ahhhh! Send help.

I encourage all my book šŸ“– lovers and friends to dive into this series nevertheless.

Never did I imagine that God would take my creativity, my love for strategy, my heart for ministry AND my gift for making people think outside the boxā€¦ and merge it all into an opportunity to help churches fund the vision and advance the Kingdom. šŸ„¹šŸ™ŒšŸ¾

But here we are.

This Sunday , I had the opportunity to facilitate my ā€œCrunch the Numbersā€ workshop with the leadership team of New Hope CCC as we prepare to kick off their ā€œWind Didnā€™t Winā€ Capital Campaign. And whewā€¦ watching the room go from crunching numbers to having REAL conversations about stewardship, sustainability, giving and what it takes to fund ministry was EVERYTHING. šŸ”„

Thereā€™s also something special about having a Pastor; Sheree C Whitfield who recognizes the gifts God placed inside of you and doesnā€™t feel the need to confine them to one house. Iā€™m grateful , that kind of covering means more than I can explain. She too prayed over the church as the move forward in their campaign.

Iā€™m learning that sometimes your calling isnā€™t one gift , itā€™s the intersection of ALL the things God trusted you with.

Creative. Strategist. Administrator. Marketer. Ministry-minded.

Apparently, God said, ā€œI can use ALL of that.ā€ šŸ„¹

And Iā€™m just grateful He chose me.

You canā€™t make it to the other side holding onto the same bar. At some point, you have to release whatā€™s behind you, trust your grip, and REACH for whatā€™s next.

And yeahā€¦ thereā€™s always that little moment when youā€™re hanging in between , no longer where you were, but not quite where youā€™re going. Thatā€™s not failure. Thatā€™s transition.

This season of RECESS is reminding me that growth still requires a little playground courage. šŸ›

Let go. Swing forward. REACH.
