It's the most wonderful time of the year to traumatize your toddler through stranger danger! Aidan was, shall we say, not impressed with his visit with Santa today. 🤣 If my son could have run away fast enough, he would have. He graciously let the people at know his feelings while wailing as loud as his little 14-month-old lungs could. Thankfully they were kind and understanding! He was a little more open to visiting Saint Nick at the Weihnachtsmarkt put on by the . No tears for St. Nick thankfully! I don't know if it's because he was less intimidating or because Aidan was enamored by the thought of great Bavarian food or by the thought of seeing the pygmy goats, but that didn't matter. He had a great time! Now I can officially check off the obligatory crying child with Santa pic for the year.

Second year of our Aidan in a pumpkin tradition! This year went much better than last year with a couple week old infant. Lol. We needed a 15 lbs pumpkin to fit our 24 lbs toddler inside comfortably. It makes me wonder what size we'll need next year. 🤣 Hopefully he'll enjoy these photos as an adult as much as we do.

Last set of photos for the night! Saturday we had the Moms Connections Vancouver Trunk or Treat event over at , which was amazing! I've never been to a trunk or treat, let alone participated in one. We have out hundreds of pieces of candy, Aidan got to go trick or treating, and we were able to hang out with some great friends! Here's looking at you, ! Shout out to Skipping Stones for letting us crash inside with the rainy PNW weather. The facility is absolutely amazing with so many amazing things for kids!

We, of course, had to go pick out pumpkins at this year. Sadly, the day we wanted to go to the patch they were complete...

We, of course, had to go pick out pumpkins at this year. Sadly, the day we wanted to go to the patch they were completely sold out of tickets for the day, and it was the only sunny day left, so we improvised and bought four pumpkins from their market instead. While I would have loved to have taken Aidan on a hay ride and let his dad help him launch pumpkins, I will just have something to look forward to next season! Until then, I still think I've got the cutest pumpkin in the patch.

Continuing on with the October festivities, Aidan, a.k.a. Babypool, got to go with Ladypool and Dadpool to for the Moms Connections Vancouver Mummy Mixer. I'm super proud to say I was able to finish pulling Aidan's costume together the night before. I embraced the imperfections and just went with it. So far everyone has loved it!

We continued the theme since that has been a favorite of his since he was a couple months old. Now we just need to get the and the stuffies for him!

Back to the regularly scheduled spamming of photos as I continue to play catch-up from this busy month of October! This was Aidan's first birthday party in Utah. We celebrated a couple days early so we could celebrate with the Warkentin family. Aidan had a lot of fun, enjoyed all the attention (and let's be honest, the food), and he was spoiled by family.
