On Sun, May 25th, please join us uptown as we show support for a dear friend, Scott Aiges, with a night of live music we're calling Rock for Aiges!

We're jamming to the songbook of Tom Petty with an all-star lineup of performances by Samantha Fish, Susan Cowsill, Paul Sanchez, C.C. Adcock, John Papa Gros, Alex McMurray, Jim McCormick, Rob Savoy, Andre Bohren, Aaron Wilkinson, Steve Chyzyk, Russ Broussard, Brian Rini, & More!

The night will kick off with a special set by Royal Fingerbowl starting at 8PM!

And we will also host a silent auction with proceeds benefiting Scott's family.

Rhythm Kitchen explores the fusion of food and music through the senses of Chefs and Musicians; complemented with commentary from scholars, food critics and restauranteurs. The first episode features New Orleans’ Executive Chef-Christopher Lynch, Musician, Producer, and Music Educator- Delfeayo Marsalis, Culinary Historian, Author, and Filmmaker-Zella Palmer and Restaurateur Tony Tocco. The series spotlights the similarities in the creative process of chefs and musicians and how music brings an additional immersive sense to the food experience when one hears the music and tastes the food. The series was the brainchild of Tony Tocco who has had extensive experience with food and music throughout his career and developed in conjunction with Michael Murphy Productions who produced the show.

Sad to hear of the passing of Eric Paulsen. He interviewed us many times over the years, and was always a compassionate and astute interviewer. He put as much value on local news as well as national, and was a true supporter of local talent!

In 1992, with the support of Isaac T. , Michael approached CBS Radio to broadcast a new series. This was before the first House of Blues club opened. They agreed. Then in conjunction with Ben Manilla, and Dan Aykroyd they created and produced the series - giving the House of Blues national exposure. After Michael left HOB, Ben Manilla took over the series with new partners, and continued the successful series. Glad to see it has landed at the Smithsonian.
