Because they can’t handle the truth Queen Tiye was a Black African queen**, rooted in the heart of Upper Egypt culturally, geographically, and genetically.

They hide behind outdated skull measurements like “refined midface” and “Mediterranean structure,” hoping big words will cover weak arguments. But **cranial features aren’t race markers and elongated skulls, prognathism, and narrow noses are all found within African populations, especially in the Nile Valley and Sudan.

They throw around mtDNA haplogroup K like it’s a game-changer, but that data came from a leaked, unverified study, not a peer-reviewed source. And even if her maternal line had roots outside Africa, so what? One mtDNA line doesn’t cancel thousands of years of African ancestry. Egypt was connected to the world, but it was shaped in Africa.

They love to talk about “Eurasian ancestry” as if it means foreign invaders built Egypt. But most of that ancestry came from **ancient back-migrations, Africans who moved north and returned. That’s not colonization, that’s **Africa spreading out and evolving

Then they throw in irrelevant examples like Djehutynakht, a Middle Egyptian official from a completely different time, and a boy from **Carthage**, a known **Phoenician colony**. That’s historical bait-and-switch. Neither proves anything about Queen Tiye or her people.

Even the excuse that her bust is dark because of “cedar aging” is weak. The darkness was intentional part of a long artistic tradition where Black skin symbolized power, divinity, and identity. Her features were portrayed accurately and with pride, not oxidized by accident.

And that tired line, she wasn’t Black or white” is just a way to erase her Blackness without sounding racist. But the truth is, she came from a royal family in Upper Egypt, near Nubia, in a time when the line between Egyptians and Nubians wasn’t division, it was unity.

They’re still trying to whitewash Queen Tiye because accepting her African identity means rewriting everything they thought they knew about civilization, royalty, and genius.

And that’s a truth they’re not ready to face.

THE AGADEZ CROSS ♊

Named after the ancient city of Agadez in Niger 🇳🇪, the Agadez Cross also known as the Cross of Niger is the most popular category of Saharan Berber jewelry made especially by the Tuareg people of Niger. Only a few of this jewelry really looks like a cross. For most of them, it is a pendant with a varied silhouette, related either to a cross (tanaghilt), or to a form of plate or shield ( talhakim ). The former is made of stone or copper. The blacksmiths generally use silver and the so-called "lost wax" casting process without ever hammering the metal.

These crosses are generally called tanaghilt (tanaɣilt) or tasagalt, which means "cast in a mold". Soft stone jewelry and jewelry cut from platelets of copper, aluminum, or other metal are most commonly known as talhakim, a term used for jewelry resembling a form of plate or shield. An alternative tamashek name, but which designates pendants in general, is "zakkat".

The current use of tanaghilt and talhakim is restricted to a few Tuareg tribes: the Kel Aïr, the Kel Geress; as well as to non-Berber ethnic groups across Niger who have adopted it such as the Songhai-Zarma, Fulani and the Hausa peoples of Niger. These jewel are rare and almost ignored by other Tuaregs. As ornaments, they are suspended from the neck. In the case of tanaγilt, it is fixed on the veil of women or the forehead, but turned upwardside down.

Any question about their symbolism put to the users generally elicits only vague answers. Some attribute to it a function of "grigri" or “reserve of wealth". The ethnologists, Germaine Dieterlen and Ziedonis Ligers spotted a situation where a Tuaregs father gave the jewel to his son in age of virility, marriage and nomadism, saying to him: "My son, I give you the four directions of the world, because we do not know where you will go to die".

According to one Tuareg elder narration, a young nomadic warrior wanted to declare his love to the young girl of his heart, the latter being locked up at home and therefore inaccessible to his messages. The village blacksmith then had a very important place in Tuareg society. As such, the blacksmith had the right to enter the houses of all the families with whom he traded with. The young man then had a jewel forged which combines the two syllables of the Tamashek word " T (a) R (a)" ("tara" meaning " love" and spelled "ⵜⵔ" in the Tifinagh alphabet) and entrusted the blacksmith with the mission of transmitting the message of love to his beloved in the greatest discretion.

Many Europeans, especially in the Western and Southern regions, still had medium to dark skin tones. The idea of a fully pale-skinned Europe is a recent phenomenon.

Pale skin isn’t the original European trait.
