Through ART social change is possible and it can trigger the minds towards positive approach. Films and Documentaries based on social issues play vital role to help change mindset in society especially among youth. They not only entertain and inform us but also provide us with different perspectives resulting in more chances for understanding those whose beliefs and views are different from ours. They make us regain our humanity that we lose in the dealings of the world. Art is fat vanishing from Pakistan in the wake of growing religioud extremism and intolerance. Keeping this context in view Azad Participatory Development Foundation (APDF) has initiated film festival at national level “BAAKH Film Festival”. Aim of the BFF is to “Encourage and Promote new Film Makers and Documentary Makers of Pakistan”. Objectives:
• To promote young talent in the field of film and documentary making.
• To introduce social change through Art and Culture.
• To encourage art at all levels.
• To encourage and engage mid-career media professionals.
• To build capacity of art related people to bring needed reforms in film making, documentary making and photography.
• To bring various languages in form of media at the same platform.
