A SUCCESSFUL RUN OF SCREENINGS AND ACTIVITIES LUTAS FILM FESTIVAL!🎬
The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) proudly supported the 11th Lutas Film Festival in Dumaguete City held on November 14 to 16 as part of its ongoing commitment to championing regional storytelling and elevating the creativity of local talents.
Through the Festival Development Assistance Program (FDAP), the FDCP strengthened its support for regional film festivals by providing resources and access to films through Pelikula ng Bayan and AcadeMedia screenings powered by JuanFlix.
The festival opened with a Pelikula ng Bayan screening of ‘Love Child’ by Jonathan Jurilla followed by an Academedia screening and talkback of ‘Cleaners’ and ‘Yung Huling Swimming Reunion Before Life Happens’ by Glenn Barit.
In the days that followed, audiences enjoyed the showcase of official competition entries, discussions with filmmakers, an informative talk about the benefits of FDCP’s CreatePHFilms, and the final awarding ceremony, which highlighted the multi-awarded ‘Tinigom’ by Keith Nemenzo — closing the festival with a celebration of the growing potential and diversity of Negrense cinema.
