The back of the garage is complete and I couldent be happier with how it turned out. It's the perfect little hang out for friends and family. It's a great multi purpose space for us to enjoy.

We've been selling eggs regularly at the road and with a cooler on a chair, it's time for an upgrade. With this stand we will be able to sell our extra produce, eggs and what ever else we want. I will also be able to move it with the pallet fork on the tractor very easily. This was a fun little build. The back of the garage keeps changing, today I added a door to the back for easy access to the patio. I initially wanted to add a patio door but couldent give up the storage space on the shelves on the inside. I'm happy with how it turned out and I think it looks great, wait till you see the update!

I love plants and growing stuff and this 4 tier shelf with grow lights from Vego Garden is such a nice addition to our upstairs hall, I love it's design, from the adjustable shelves to the independent settings for the lights and the nice cabinet at the bottom. I look forward to filling it with plants

We just went through an extreme heat event and the alpacas needed additional help to keep cool. It reached 45c with the humidity Monday and Tuesday and it was hard to do anything. We setup a kiddie pool for the alpacas to help cool them down, typically we don't want to let them sit in water but in this case we made an exception.

We just went through a big 2 day heat event, it was 45c with the humidex. Keeping the animals cool was priority but they are pretty smart and know what to do instinctively. The alpacas had me going a few times, they liked to lay out in the sun and not move, I had to check on a few of them a few times, they were just sleeping.

One of the best things about homesteading is the community. We've learned so much from talking to other folks who are also trying to live a more self-sufficient life. Whether it's swapping extra garden produce, sharing tips on raising animals, or just getting advice on a tricky project, connecting with others has been invaluable. Don't be afraid to reach out to local groups or visit farmers' markets – you'll be surprised by how much you can learn and how supportive the community is.

The chicks are starting to hatch, I think the first ones will be the Appenzeller Cemani Mixes, looking forward to seeing what they end up looking like. I love hatching chickens!

Some big progress behind the garage. Slabs getting poured and the posts will be changed. The initial plan for this space was just to clean it up but I think we will have bigger plans for it now that we see it's full potential.
