Saturday Night's All Right for Fighting

Remember those Saturday tea times when we were allowed to eat in front of the TV? This week, I'm exploring the martial arts phenomenon that swept through 1970s Britain... Kung Fu!
Kids across the country were donning dressing gowns for kung fu classes after school. From "when you can take the pebble from my hand" to "Ah, grasshopper," the show's influence was enormous.

It inspired everything from Hong Kong Phooey to Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. However, it also carries a controversial legacy regarding Bruce Lee's original pitch and Hollywood's casting decisions that we couldn't grasp as children.

This episode celebrates our shared memories and the amazing community we've built together. It's a reminder that television wasn't just entertainment - it was a shared cultural experience that connected families and friends across the country.
