Pamela's World Pamela Reviews: Taking my love of adventure to the next level, I will be reviewing books, music, foods, places, and more. Www.pamelareviews.wordpress.com

Pamelastitch.com is an issue based 'radiozine' that aims to revolutionize the way that Africa, the continent is viewed. What is a Radiozine you wonder? This is an online magazine with an audio press and play of prerecorded interviews, thoughts and written articles. This concept has been used with recognized and critically acclaimed media sites like NPR. The vision and mission of pamelastitch.com i

s to be the authentic voice of Africans in the Diasporas and continent. Using, interviews with musicians, authors, entrepreneurs, personalities from different walks of life, we hope to inspire the 'African' community to greatness. We also have the secondary aim of using this form of media to talk about our issues and our views on life as Africans in the Diasporas. Our primary audience are Africans in the diaspora which includes, first and second generation Africans as well as our African American brothers and sisters. Our secondary audience are Africans on the continent. We have also gone beyond that and interviewed those from outside this audience group who are creating awareness of an issue affecting the continent. We have kept with this goal in mind as each interview brings us closer to our aim. I will like to end by saying:

Class is the sequel to the book, “Maid” that is available on Netflix. In Class, we follow the sojourn of Stephanie as she navigates school while being a single mother on the poverty line. This memoir will definitely get you to confront your beliefs about race, class, and privilege. There are many parts of the book that will pull at heartstrings from her struggles to navigate the governmental aid system while dealing with the psychological, emotional, and financial impact of choosing to go pursue that type of degree at that point of her life....

I got an opportunity to watch Possum Trot by Angel Studios a couple of weeks ago and I was deeply moved by its honest portrayal of the foster care system. The film shines a spotlight on the challenges faced by both children and foster parents, offering a glimpse into the complexities of a world often overlooked. There were many tear-inducing parts of the story, like when Nino gets a foster parent and his excitement on finding a stable home to when a foster parent is struggling to bath a child that has only had bad bath experiences in previous foster homes....

Image from Amazon I am going to preface this review by letting y'all know that this is a dark romance. This is not a story of two goody two shoes finding love and happiness but rather a story of individuals who should be viewed as society's bane finding love. This reads like a Romeo and Juliet story for Africans with a happier ending....
