My mother was freed by the British forces in Bergen-Belsen, and my father was freed by the US forces in Mauthausen. I was born in a Displaced Persons Camp in Italy, and arrived in Israel as a baby, during June 1948, as no European country would then accept Holocaust survivors.

“I served in the Israeli Army (IDF) as a junior infantry officer, and took part in two wars, in 1967 and 1973, after which I turned into a committed pacifist. I came to study in Britain in 1972, and a short while afterwards I have learnt much about Zionism which I did not while in Israel, thus becoming an ardent supporter of Palestinian rights, and an anti-Zionist activist. I was an active supporter of the Anti-Apartheid Movement as a Labour member in the 1970s and acted against racist organisations throughout my life.”

Professor Bresheeth was arrested at a protest outside the official London residence of Israeli ambassador Tzipi Hotovely.

Anneliese Dodds MP: Israel’s criminality in Northern Gaza has now reached new levels of depravity with its annihilation of hospitals, the deliberate mass killings of civilians, the arbitrary arrest and torture of medical workers, and the intentional stoppage of water, food and medical supplies, and now the planned obstruction of UNRWA in carrying out its vital UN mandated humanitarian mission.

But Israel is facing no consequences for any of these genocidal actions and other atrocities. Why not ??

After Russia began its invasion of Ukraine Britain immediately froze Russian funds, imposed punitive sanctions on Russian exports, investments and individuals.

But when Israel commits genocide against Palestinians the government response adds up to little more than ineffective bleating. Yes UKG blocked a few export licences of minimal importance. But other arms exports continue as does military cooperation and intelligence sharing.

It is now time for a package of serious, impactful, punitive sanctions appropriate to the horrific, atrocious crimes that we see committed on a daily basis.

The UK should be using its military base in Cyprus, and British forces stationed there, not to assist Israel’s genocide but to frustrate it in every way possible.

As you are surely aware these things are our absolute national duty in international law, and our failure to act so far is not just a breach of our Genocide Convention obligations, but seriously undermines the legitimacy of the UK’s status as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

Further it reveals all our professed commitments to Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law, as a hollow sham - something that will never be forgotten, or forgiven, by the global majority of people and nations.

Israel uses water as a weapon of its genocide in Gaza

Palestinian Territory - Through persistent, systematic, and widespread targeting of the Gaza Strip’s water sources and desalination plants, Israel is using water as a weapon against Palestinian civilians. In addition to imposing famine, Israel is deliberately reducing the amount of water available to residents of the Strip—especially potable water sources—intentionally targeting the over 2.3 million people who live there as part of its genocide, ongoing since last October.

On Monday, July 1, the Euro-Med Monitor field team observed significant damage to a desalination plant in the Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood, south of Gaza City, as a result of direct Israeli targeting. This also resulted in the killing of a young man who was filling a gallon with water, plus the wounding of other individuals. The station, which provided services to at least 50,000 people in several nearby residential neighbourhoods, sustained significant damage after being bombed by the Israeli army with a GBU missile that broke through multiple stories and detonated on the ground floor.

“I am under no illusion how pro-war and pro-neo con the Democratic party is and have focused much of my recent reporting on this fact, but anyone who thinks Trump is any better is lying to themselves. The reality is that both major political parties have been completely bought by the Military Industrial Complex, Oil Companies, Big banks and the Israel and Gulf state lobbies. For anyone truly opposed to American foreign policy the only solution is to leave the two party duopoly entirely.”

Nevada's so-called Democratic Party conspired to force Green Presidential candidate Jill Stein's off the ballot. The Nevada Secretary of State (Democrat) deliberately supplied the Greens with the wrong form of Affidavit for collecting signatures to qualify for the ballot. Then the Nevada Democratic Party challenged the paperwork and the Nevada Supreme Court upheld the complaint 5:2. Even though the Greens collected 29,500 signatures, nearly three times the required minimum.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has finally covered Israel's issuance of the Hannibal Directive, which led to the slaughter of many, if not most, of the Israeli casualties of October 7th, and the destruction of every vehicle in the affected zone under fire from Israel's Apache helicopters. When will BBC News stop peddling it's mendacious 'beheaded babies' narratives and share the truth with viewers, listeners, readers and licence fee payers?
