World Oceans Day is celebrated on 8 June 2023. Each year on World Oceans Day we raise awareness about protecting our oceans. Early years children are able to join Peter Planet on Super Geek Island to learn more about keeping our oceans free from plastics and pollution.

Following a very successful meeting this morning, we’re all very excited about the next part of the journey. It’s an amazing opportunity presented to our early years brand to make a significant impact within the UK’s primary education sector. All set to firmly establish Super Geek Heroes within the mainstream learning curriculum as a viable resource helping children achieve their early learning goals within all seven development areas of EYFS.

Parents can watch the episode with their children at home on Super Geek Island and it’s also available within the educators tool kit where EYFS classroom activities can be set to evaluate and assess the children’s personal, social and emotional development!

Super Geek Island upgrades complete as our EYFS curricula platform launches 🚀 on mobile!

The new mobile app links all the early years learning content currently available on the desktop platform, reaching into the heart of Development Matters to offer top-level character-led learning for children to develop and learn, featuring the Super Geek Heroes.

An ideal way for all early years practitioners to access the content from their mobile devices, including: childminders, staff in nurseries, nursery schools, nursery and reception classes in primary schools.

Also as part of the app’s launch, new features have been added to make it easier to navigate the platform to plan lesson activities, fulfill each learning mission’s objectives and assess all seven learning development area observations… all from a single device in the classroom and importantly for parents/carers to assess the home learning activities too! Our amazing early years team have pulled out all the stops to make Super Geek Island’s offering to educators and nursery settings even better. The latest update includes all 16 early learning goals and 48 expected levels of development to focus on the main factors that support child development at age 5. Super Geek Island’s bespoke ELG’s summarise the knowledge, skills and understanding that all young children should have gained by the end of the academic year in which they turn 5, the reception year. Boo yah!
