A Tree for a Like We go beyond! The Earth needs us, and no question, we definitely need the Earth. You have liked many pages, why not like a tree? Thank you and best regards!

"A Tree for a Like" is an advocacy promoted by http://www.hotelsphilippines.org wherein we, and our community will plant a tree for every like that this page receives. Please tell your friends about this so they can at least like or if they can, help in tree planting when the venue for the project will be in their location. The "A Tree 4 a Like" project will be cooperating with LGUs, NGOs and of c

ourse the people of different localities to plant as many trees as possible. Like for a cause and spread it around. We also encourage people to post their pictures planting trees so people from all over the world can follow the good example.

I hope we do not reach the time where we will be fighting for fresh air.

We have nothing to fear and a great deal to learn from trees, that vigorous and pacific tribe which without stint produces strengthening essences for us, soothing balms, and in whose gracious company we spend so many cool, silent and intimate hours.
-- Marcel Prous, Pleasures and Regrets, 1896

He that planteth a tree is a servant of God, he provideth a kindness for many generations, and faces that he haith not seen shall bless him.

a tree that once stood alone
a tree that was unstable
and not very strong

a tree that didnt have much of a chance
for a tree for noone did understand

a tree that was so affraid to let go
for that reason
that tree never learned to grow

a tree that never felt the warmth of the sun
or made shadows in the moon
for a tree who could seem to never
blossom into something new

a tree with branches that snaped
with thunderstorms and hurricanes
beating on its back

a tree that never growed up to be all it could be
i wonder what was holding these tree back from
its dreams

"The forest is not merely an expression or representation of sacredness, nor a place to invoke the sacred; the forest is sacredness itself. Nature is not merely created by God, nature is God. Whoever moves within the forest can partake directly of sacredness, experience sacredness with his entire body, breath sacredness and contain it within himself, drink the sacred water as a living communion, bury his feet in sacredness, open his eyes and witness the burning beauty of sacredness."
- Richard Nelson

"Each generation takes the earth as trustees. We ought to bequeath to posterity as many forests and orchards as we have exhausted and consumed."
- J. Sterling Morton

"It's the flock, the grove, that matters. Our responsibility is to species, not to specimens; to communities, not to individuals."
- Sara Stein, 1998, Author of Noah's Garden
