Moving has been a lot more work than I expected.🥲
I really thought the hardest part would be packing and moving everything from one place to another.
Turns out, unpacking is a whole different challenge. 😅
We’ve spent the last few days surrounded by boxes, trying to get settled. Most things are unpacked, but very few things are actually organized yet.
On top of that, the first two days were tough for Cloud and Lola.
They were nervous, confused, and clearly trying to understand why everything around them had suddenly changed.
Watching them struggle to adjust was probably the hardest part of the move for me.
Thankfully, they’re doing so much better now. Cloud is finally acting like himself again, Lola is back on her wheel, and every day this place feels a little more like home.
If you’ve ever moved with cats, how long did it take them to adjust? I’d love to hear your experiences.❤️

Cloud absolutely adores Paco ❤️
Paco is more of an independent little guy and doesn’t always love affection, but Cloud never stops trying. He’s always cuddling him, grooming him, or sleeping close to him. It’s the cutest friendship to watch.

Lola finding out the hard way that Cloud can defend himself too 😂
This wasn’t a real fight btw.
For some reason, every single time our dog Paco leaves for a walk with dad, Lola gets a sudden burst of energy and immediately starts wrestling with Cloud.
She’s usually the instigator, Cloud is usually the patient one… but not today
I think she realized a little too late that maybe starting fights with a cat twice your size isn’t always the best idea 😹

Cloud hears dad at the door and immediately runs to greet him every single time. And if dad takes too long to say hello? He’ll make sure everyone hears his complaints 😸❤️

This weekend we finally visited the cutest pet store in Chicago 💕
We’ve been following Kim’s journey with .petbakery for a while now, so we were so excited to finally see the store in person. And honestly… it’s even cuter than we imagined💕
We went with Paco and of course had to bring home treats for Cloud and Lola😸 They have single ingredient treats, frozen yogurt with toppings, ramen, toys, clothes, accessories and the cutest photo booth ever.
You can truly feel how much love was put into every little detail. If you’re in Chicago, you have to visit this place 🫶🏻

Cat moms never needed science to confirm any of this… we already knew❤️ Some people may never understand it, and that’s okay. But those of us who love cats know this is one of the purest and deepest kinds of love there is. Happy Mother’s Day to all the cat moms 💐

Cloud always makes sure dad remembers who comes first 🥰 meanwhile Cat dad is trying so hard to hide the pain from those biscuits 😅 did you see the claws?
