Congratulations to Jacob on a win tonight at the Battle of The Prairies #18, in Regina, Saskatchewan. Jacob won by a first-round referee stoppage!

Tonight, Jacob was one of 31 recipients selected for the Bob Freeze Sports Grant, presented by the Calgary Booster Club. https://calgaryboosterclub.com

For 70 years, the Calgary Booster Club have recognized and supported achievements and leadership in sports in Calgary.

Former awardees have included Canadian Olympic athletes, professional football and hockey players, top sports coaches, and other top athletes in Calgary.

Jacob is the first FilCan and the first boxer to receive a Bob Freeze grant, and the second boxer to be awarded and recognized by the Calgary Booster club.

He was also part of the panel speakers, sharing his thoughts on the challenges that aspiring athletes face and the importance that communities play in supporting young athletes.

Congratulations Jacob!

A great weekend of boxing for Jacob at the Canadian Youth Nationals! Jacob was awarded the Bronze medal after losing a tough fight in the semifinals against his opponent from QC who won the gold medal (and was last year's silver medalist).

Jacob takes away a lot of experience in this year's tournament and will use this to improve his boxing game. Congratulations on getting the bronze in your first National championship competition Jacob!

Jacob wins his first fight in the nationals! He moves on to fight in the semifinals tomorrow!
It was an exciting, action packed fight against British Columbia provincial champion Torin Edmunds.
