ನಾಗತಿಹಳ್ಳಿ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ "ಪ್ಯಾರಿಸ್ ಪ್ರಣಯ" ಚಿತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟವರು ರಘು ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ. ನಟನೆಯನ್ನು ವೃತ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವ ಮುನ್ನ ರಘು ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ model. 2002ರಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ 20 ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ Grasim Mr. India ಟೈಟಲ್ ಗೌರವ ದಕ್ಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರಿವರು. ಪ್ಯಾರಿಸ್ ಪಯಣ, ಸವಾರಿ, ಪ್ರೇಮ ಚಂದ್ರಮ, ನೀ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ, ದಂಡುಪಾಳ್ಯ, ಸೂಪರ್ ರಂಗ, ಅಂಗುಲಿಮಾಲ, ಆಕ್ರಮಣ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಜ, ಜೆಸ್ಸಿ, ಮೀನಾಕ್ಷಿ, ಕಾಫಿ ತೋಟ, ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ಹೆಡ್ ಬುಷ್ ಮೊದಲಾದವು ಇವರು ನಟಿಸಿದ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳು. ಇದೇ ವರ್ಷ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ “ಭಾಮಾಕಲಾಪಮ್” ತೆಲುಗು ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರವೊಂದನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೊದಲ ಚಿತ್ರ "ಪ್ಯಾರಿಸ್ ಪ್ರಣಯ"ದಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದಿದ್ದ ರಘು ಸವಾರಿ ಸಿನಿಮದ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ "ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ನಟ" ಫಿಲ್ಮ್ ಫೇರ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಇವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಅನು ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಅವರು ಕೂಡ ಒಬ್ಬ ನಟಿ.
