She Froze During the Assault. And So Did I. Let’s Talk About the Freeze Response No One Mentions; Last weekend, a woman shared her story of being assaulted during a massage, and the internet did what it does;many questioned her reaction.
"Why didn’t she shout?"
"Why didn’t she fight back?"

I wasn’t there. I don’t know what happened. But I know what can happen.because something similar happened to me.

In this video, I talk about the freeze response;a trauma reaction we don’t talk about enough. I share my own experience from 10 years ago, when an older man assaulted me and I couldn’t move, couldn’t speak…i just froze.

This isn’t about blame. It’s about understanding. Because survival doesn’t always look like a fight.it can look like silence, stillness… and shame.

If you've ever frozen in a moment you didn’t expect,you’re not alone, and you’re not weak.

Ill never forget when the man who sexually assaulted me as a child for a long time sent me a message years later on social media trying to gaslight me and see how much i could remember....
Abusers are very manipulative . Never let anyone gaslight you into thinking what happened was your fault or that nothing happened.
