Pray for Manitoba and Saskatchewan 🙏

A persistent high-pressure anomaly has worsened the situation in western Canada, where over 200,000 hectares have already burned in just one month. The provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan have declared provincial emergencies due to the uncontrollable spread of wildfires. More than 17,000 people, including Indigenous communities, have evacuated to Winnipeg following a night of chaos and dense smoke.

The forecast does not anticipate any rain, and erratic winds are fueling the rapid spread of the fire. Meteorologists warn this could be one of the most aggressive and unstable wildfire seasons since 2012, driven by the collapse of the water balance in the boreal forests.

🚨In Manitoba, out of 96 Wildfires, 92 are man made according to reports.

🚨URGENT UPDATE: A devastating forest fire is burning out of control, now less than a mile from our Canada Wildlife Cams camp and trails in Saskatchewan. It's too dangerous to check our equipment. We're anxiously monitoring fire maps and weather, heartbroken over the imminent loss of beloved trails, habitats, and our treasured forest—a haven for wildlife and exploration that may be changed for generations 💔

Our off-grid camp and entire trail cam operation are at risk. We're praying for rain, favorable winds, and the heroic efforts of fire crews to save what we've built. The fire's path is unpredictable-we could lose everything within days.

Please keep Saskatchewan's firefighters, wildlife, and this cherished land in your thoughts 🙏

Saskatoon isn't covered in smoke at the moment so many don't know just how bad the fires are up north right now.
Both Flin Flon and Creighton are under pre-evacuation warnings - the Flin Flon hospital has also started moving people out as they prepare for a potential evacuation. Super unpredictable and volitile up there right now. Obviously lots of highways closed too.
These pics are from my brother-in-law. He's a tow-truck driver and was sent to Granite Lake (45km from Creighton) to pick up some folk who were stranded.
Legit drove through fire (he was cleared by he
RCMP don't worry). Apparently he came across a semi driver whose air filter had caught on fire and had to basically rescue him.
Send all your love to our friends and family up north
Will update with more once we know
more.
