Omar Fateh has been endorsed by the following organizations for his 2025 Minneapolis mayoral campaign:Minneapolis *Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party: Fateh secured the DFL endorsement at the Minneapolis convention on July 19, 2025, with over 60% of the delegate vote.
*Minneapolis Area Professional Employees (MAPE): This labor union endorsed Fateh, as noted in his campaign announcement.
*Democratic Socialists of America (DSA): The DSA, a national organization advocating for socialist policies, has endorsed Fateh, aligning with his democratic socialist platform.
*Sunrise Movement: This national climate justice group endorsed Fateh, as highlighted by their executive director Aru Shiney-Ajay after his DFL endorsement win.
*Minneapolis for the Many: A progressive political action committee founded in 2023, this group supports Fateh’s campaign, with its chair Chelsea McFarren emphasizing the need for a new mayor.
