I'm a strong woman.......
She’ll never tell you that she’s always got it all together, because most days, that’s far from the truth.
In fact, she has so many days that take everything she has just to get out of bed when that early alarm goes off.
She takes a deep breath, digs deep and rises to tackle her day.
Maybe she didn’t sleep much because she spent too many hours lying there overthinking everything in her life.
Maybe she worries too much about what tomorrow holds and how she’s going to get it all done.
Either way, every day, she summons every ounce of her strength to keep going with a smile on her face.
She has days where her energy flows freely and she feels like she can conquer anything..
Other days, she’s hanging on by a thread and everything seems to go wrong.
That’s when she finds those fleeting moments and steps away from the world.
In the shower, in the car, in the kitchen..
She lets out some tears, maybe a quiet scream…whatever she needs to express her frustration and keep going.
It’s those stolen chances she takes to regroup, recharge and refocus that allow her to come back stronger and fiercer.
She’ll never tell you it’s easy or painless, for she’s fallen more times than she knows..
But she’s risen back to her feet even more times…
Because that’s who she is and all she knows.
She doesn’t know defeat, quitting or walking away.
She wasn’t born a warrior but she learned quickly that she either needed to find her strength or get beaten down, because life never gave her a choice.
So with every setback, she learned more about herself and figured out who she needed to become.
She’s grown, she’s evolved and now, she battles her challenges with a ferocity that leaves many in awe.
She doesn’t do it for fanfare, recognition or thanks.
She does it for herself, the people she loves and because that’s just who she has become.
A strong, resilient and fierce woman…
And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
