2019 AFRO ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION SUMMIT
Theme: Entrepreneurship Education a gateway to Africa’s peace and prosperity.
Africa has the youngest population in the world with over 200 million people aged between 15 and 24. These youths account for 60% of all African unemployed, according to the World Bank.
United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) believes that Sub- Saharan Africa’s GDP could grow by $500B per year in the next 30 years if the continent invests wisely in human capital.
The purpose of the summit is to share ideas, peer-review and provide suitable platform for discussion around advancing Entrepreneurship Education and exploring it as a core strategy of growing human capital to engender a continental growth that will liquidate youth unemployment and enthrone peace and prosperity.
The Summit offers the right platform for the sharing of best practices from the viewpoint of the experts and leaders in entrepreneurship education, governments, multinational agencies, development agencies, academia, media and students.
The Summit deploys approaches that will encourage interactions capable of bring quality contributions from the participants.
Sessions will focus on four key areas:
1.Best Practices – Developing Entrepreneurship Education Curricula for Primary and Secondary Schools;
2.Funding opportunities and strategies in entrepreneurship education;
3.Monitoring and Evaluation in entrepreneurship education;
4.Building a potent Entrepreneurship education ecosystem;
5.Entrepreneurship Education in Action: Case Studies.
Proposals should not exceed 800 words and should highlight how you intend to engage the audience and what takeaways participants should expect.
Proposals should be structured under the following format:
1. Session Title
2. Session Summary
3. Session Style/format
4. Expected Outcomes
5. Details of any related research
• Submission Deadline: 30th June, 2019 .
• Notification of Acceptance: 15 July, 2019.
Selected session presenters will be offered FREE conference participation/ pass for two extra people and FREE exhibition space if required.
