Wow the response to this is overwhelming! You guys are amazing, thank you for the feedback. I‘m still trying to get through all the comments, but I’ve seen a lot suggesting that I use my name. It’s definitely tempting, but since this is my first year teaching, I don’t want to jinx myself! 😬
I’ve recently switched careers and will be starting as a middle school art teacher in a few weeks, so I’ve been scouring thrift stores for art books. Well I came across this gem and of course it had to come with me! If anyone sees a giant paintbrush, let me know, otherwise I’m making one myself.
I’m about to prime it so that I can fill the pots with acrylic pours, but I’m also thinking that I’d like to spell out an eight letter word in them as well. I haven’t decided whether it would look better vertical or horizontal in my classroom, but I’d love feedback on which word to choose!
Right now my top contendors are CREATIVE, INNOVATE, and ARTISTIC.

Absolutely in love with this little stained glass house I found at a flea market in Quebec, Canada. There is a space in the back to put a tiny lightbulb. Sadly, no 🍌 for scale.

I don't normally look through the Christmas section at thrift stores, but since I was shopping with my mom, I followed her.
To my delight I found a whole pile of beautiful vintage tree toppers. Someone had donated a box of them, so I picked my favorites and brought them home for year-round decor. ✨
And they perfectly match my classroom pull-down map I picked up at a flea market years ago!

Lady at an estate sale said “hey you like weird stuff?” And gave these to me lol - crocheted wishbones! I looked it up - guess they used them as pincushion/ thimble holders in the olden days

I drove 950 miles from NJ to Columbus Ohio to pick up this painting. This huge quirky kitty painting I bought online from the Goodwill app that was ‘pickup only.’ After borrowing a ladder and enlisting the help of a much taller person, they are now hanging above my stairs exactly where they were always meant to live ❤️

I got this at the Salvation Army. It was heavy and took everything I had to get it into the house. I had to take the door off the hinges to get it inside.

Today is my birthday & I’ve found my birthday “crown”! 🥳
I’m visiting my parents in Missouri & had been on the lookout for a cute tiara or crown to wear for my birthday {because you know… I’m “extra” like that}!
I searched for the past month for the perfect crown but never found one. I had already given up hope as I’d stopped in an antique shop yesterday.
I found a few goodies at the antique shop, but among my plunder was this gorgeous jeweled “crown headband”. It may not be an actual crown or tiara, but it is certainly the vibe that I was going for! I couldn’t believe my luck— it perfectly matches the colorful floral dress I planned on wearing for my birthday.

It's not often you'll see a Facebook marketplace posting that says "Free Wooly Mammoth." I found this posted on FB marketplace a couple of days ago, and sent it to a friend that is in the process of putting together an oddities museum. He arranged pickup, and yesterday we went to go bring this thing home. Unbeknownst to us at the time, but this Mammoth is actually an ANIMATRONIC, and was previously on display at the Discovery Channel HQ in Silver Spring, MD. It took nine hours, and four people to load and move this thing, but it was well worth it. Soon, it will be on display in Havre De Grace, MD at the First Call Paranormal & Oddities Museum—
