In Ghana today, the brand NPP has become totally useless and unattractive.
Because they only thrive on lies, public misinformation and fake news. They have always believed that Ghanians are unintelligent, ignorant, and stupid like majority of their supporters. If not, why would the
E&P Black Volta Mining deal which was signed and started in 2023 when John Mahama was not yet the president, be associated with him and be deemed as state capture?
You have to be brainless to pepertrate or fall for this blatantly wicked political propaganda.
The NPP only thrives on malicious lies and mischievous misinformation.
That can only be cured with the truth.
This is the reason why Ghanians have put them where they rightfully belong.
NPP hates the truth!

This is the truth about the deal the E&P Black Volta Mining Deal:

1. Government of Ghana gave a lease to Azumah Resources Ghana Ltd in respect of a gold concession in the Upper West Region in 1992. The company is owned by an Australian company.
2. Since 1992 till 2022, the company was unable to commence any exploration activities on the land contrary to the terms of the lease agreement.
3. By 2022, the company was indebted to the GHANA REVENUE AUTHORITY and Minerals Commission in excess of over $5million.
4. The Ghana Revenue Authority had obtained a judgment in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal against the company and was going to sell the assets of the company.
5. Gold price was low and so the owners of the company wanted to sell what was left of the company and for the new owner to deal with all the risk with GRA, Minerals Commission and falling gold prices.
6. In May 2023, the Shareholders approached E&P offering to sell the project to E&P for $100,000,000.00.
7. E&P accepted the offer and the risk, despite the value of the project being less than $80million.
8. The Project Acquisition and Development Agreement was signed by the shareholders of Azumah and E&P in October 2023.
9. Per the agreement, the entire $100,000.00 was to be paid by June 2026 with first payment in June 2024 and 2nd Payment in June 2026.
10. By an email exchange between the parties, the first installment of June 2024 was amended to December 31, 2024.
11. Per the agreement, E&P immediately took control of the project and paid the cost of the operations of the mine from November 2023 till date; the last expenses being June 30, 2025.
12. Per the agreement, E&P appointed 2 representatives to the board of Directors of Azumah Ghana in Jan 2024
13. Per the agreement, E&P was responsible for raising the finance to develop the project.
14. By E&P managed to renegotiate the existing liabilities
15. All was going between the two partners until GREED SET IN.
16. In August 2024, a gentleman by name James Wallbank, who is not a signatory to the agreement but a Director of Azumah, started making demands to increase the price of the project from $100million to $300million. His reason is that after the contract was signed in October 2023, the price of God has increased by more than 100%.
17. E&P rejected this position and insisted on paying the original value agreed upon.
18. This led to a dispute and E&P commenced arbitration proceedings in 2024 asking for an order for specific performance of the contract.
19. E&P also filed an application in the High Court in Ghana in 2024 asking for an order for E&P to continue to discharge its obligations under the contract and exercising its rights under the contract until the determination of the arbitration. The high court upheld the argument of E&P and by a ruling in June 2024, ordered the status quo to remain for contract to be enforced. In effect, the alleged termination by Azumah was held by the court to be of no effect.
20. Meanwhile, E&P had contacted EBID in 2024 for a facility of $100million to pay the shareholders. EBID finally signed the contract to give E&P the $100million for E&P to pay the shareholders of Azumah.
THE WAY FORWARD:
1. E&P has already obtained the No Objection Letter from the Minerals Commission to acquire the mine.
2. E&P will continue the process to pay the money into the account of the shareholders of Azumah
3. E&P will commence development activities on the mine and do well to see first production within 36 months.
4. Ghanaians should support their own and not allow so called CSOs who have become mercenaries to divert attention from this historic project, the first time ever for a wholly owned Ghanaian company to acquire a large scale mine.
5. This is not politics, this is about taking charge of our economy, legally and effectively.
6. God bless our homeland Ghana

Good News From Ghana:
We have made history for Ghanaian mining with Black Volta deal - Mr. Ibrahim Mahama:

The Chief Executive Officer of indigenous mining firm Engineers & Planners (E&P), Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, has announced what he describes as a historic milestone for Ghana’s mining sector following his company's acquisition of a 100% stake in the Black Volta Gold Project.

According to him, this marks the first large-scale gold mine in the country to be fully owned by a Ghanaian company.

The project, once operational, is expected to produce an average of 163,000 ounces of gold per year, about five tonnes annually, during its first five years.

This would represent roughly 3% of Ghana’s national gold output, which rose to 4.8 million ounces, or 150 tonnes, in 2024.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama made this point during the signing ceremony in Accra on July 7, 2025, after securing a $100 million facility from EBID for the project, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama said the acquisition represents a transformational moment for local participation in the mining industry.

"This is a very significant milestone for this nation, to have the first indigenous mining firm acquire a 100% stake in a large-scale mine in Ghana," Mr. Ibrahim Mahama said.

He recounted that the owners of Azumah Resources Ghana Limited (ARGL), Ibaera Capital, first approached him in early 2023 about the potential acquisition.

"At the time, I was initially hesitant, knowing the project had been on the drawing board for years without taking off," he said.

However, following further engagement by the Minerals Commission and Ibaera’s leadership, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama said his technical team conducted due diligence and confirmed the project's viability and alignment with E&P’s growth strategy.

This led to the signing of a Project Acquisition and Development Framework Agreement, under which E&P committed to financing the project through an earn-in arrangement, a requirement Mr. Ibrahim Mahama said the company has “religiously fulfilled to date.”

"This achievement is a testament to our company's unwavering commitment to Ghana's economic development. We are committed to unlocking the value of Ghana’s natural resources while ensuring sustainable benefits for local communities and the nation at large," he added.

He also expressed gratitude to the ECOWAS Bank for Investment & Development (EBID) for providing the financial backing, describing the partnership as:

"This is a vote of confidence in our vision and capabilities," he added.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama emphasised that E&P would uphold the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility, pledging to ensure that the well-being of employees, contractors, and host communities remains a top priority.

"This milestone is not just a testament to our company’s achievements but also a beacon of hope for the future of Ghana’s mining industry," he concluded.

Chilling Revelation: Thousands of NPP Supporters Reportedly Dying from Shock of Electoral Defeat

A recent survey conducted by the GHANA NEWS SERVICE has revealed a disturbing trend among supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following their unexpected and overwhelming defeat in the 2024 general elections. Thousands of NPP loyalists are reported to have died—and many more continue to suffer severe health consequences—due to the shock and disappointment stemming from the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s resounding victory.

The survey highlights that many NPP supporters are still struggling to come to terms with the election results, which saw the NDC's John Dramani Mahama secure over six million votes and a commanding parliamentary majority, while the NPP's vote count and parliamentary seats drastically declined. Analysts attribute the NPP's loss not only to the NDC's vigorous campaign efforts but also to widespread voter apathy and dissatisfaction within the NPP ranks, fueled by perceived arrogance and governance failures of the in the Ex. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led administration.

This emotional and psychological toll on NPP supporters has manifested in heightened stress levels, leading to increased mortality rates among the party's base, according to the survey. The phenomenon underscores the deep political polarization and the intense personal investment many Ghanaians place in electoral outcomes.

Political commentators warn that the aftermath of the 2024 elections has left a scar on the political landscape, with many NPP supporters needing time and support to recover from the shock of the defeat.
