Hi fam. I just found out that Jaime, my niece, Jaime and her partner, Melvin, tragically lost his father in a motorcycle accident on November 11.

Please pray for the family and their loved ones as they navigate their grief.

Mel, born in 1972, was a single dad and a talented automotive painter who, despite financial challenges, put his children’s needs above all else. He leaves behind six children: Brittany, Melvin, Christina, Raistlin, and his 15-year-old twins, Scarlet and Cynthia, who now face a future without their loving father.

Excited to be getting out of the city for 36 hours to attend my niece, Kenzie's wedding reception. She was married to her hubby, Dave, in January in Hawaii.

Today is the big reception in cottage country over a lake. Can't wait to see everyone and dance dance dance! 🥰

Turn your volume on to hear some wisdom. This excerpt from the relatable really struck me. This particular excerpt was taken from the end of a track by entitled, “Afraid with You”. Check out Tauren Wells’ music if you get the chance. Positive. Inspiring. Uplifting.

I certainly fall short of the criteria that Bishop Jakes teaches here about loving like God loves. It seems too lofty, but I will continue to strive to do so.

Today is . Feeling happy is a global human right. Having a positive mindset is responsible for as much as 90 per cent of our feelings of well-being. People who are happy tend to live longer and have fewer health problems. Indeed, happier people are less likely to have high blood pressure and heart issues.

One year ago today, my dear Mom, Catherine McInnes, 94, passed away. Today I feel some sadness as I still miss our visits, but I am also thankful for the time we did get and get a sense that she is still around me.
 
Like many families, the relationship with my mom was complicated for years. However, I had the honour of visiting my mother for almost a year while she was in hospital. This time, which I believe was orchestrated by God, not only healed our past relationship, but it also started a new one based on renewal and unconditional love. There were many laughs, tears, music, and movies.
 
I will cherish those memories forever.
 
When I was a young adult, Mom gave me a small plaque with Jeremiah 29:11 on it:
 
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11
 
This verse has come to mean very much to me in my life and I am thankful that she passed this on to me as I have relied on its truth, especially during life’s challenges.

This organization envisions a world in which children’s rights and well-being are protected as they migrate alone in search of safety. One of the services they provide is promoting in countries of origin, transit, and destination durable SOLUTIONS TO CHILD MIGRATION that are grounded in the best interests of the child and ensure that no child is forced to involuntarily migrate.
