Music is a precious commodity born of the craft and passion of those with the inspiration and talent to express themselves through the medium. For many, music is the soundtrack of their lives and recalling or sharing happy memories can be a cathartic experience! I aim to play music that touches the soul, lifts the spirit, soothes the mind, gets your fingers or feet tapping and may even have you du

sting off your air guitar! The best music is timeless and, even if it is from 50 (or more) years ago, it is still 'new' if YOU haven't heard it. So be prepared for selections that range from pre-release and classics, to, little heard, forgotten or overlooked tracks, handpicked from the archives. Your soundtrack, like life itself, is under constant construction and, if I can contribute a musical accompaniment to future memories, then, that would be a real privilege.

Making great music AND, it would appear, very much ‘in tune’…

The full 5 hour recording from my ambient set is now live via my Substack www.astateofflo.com

I invited festival goers to join me on a 4 hour (which turned into a 5 hour) trip, where I used music that I have been playlisting for Imperial College’s psychedelic therapy trials to take them on a journey .

The set is split into the 6 phases which represent the arc of the psilocybin experience - from grounding to ascent to peak to descent.

I’ve made a one hour version available for free but paid supporters can access the full five hours.

If you think this music can help you - please DM me and I’ll send you the full five hours as I don’t want a paywall to get in the way. It really needs to be experienced as a whole!

Thanks to Resident Advisor for making it their mix of the day ❤️
Also thanks to Optimo (Espacio) Ransom Note for an amazing festival

I’d defo go with the ‘creative vision’ of this, little known, videographer….

…altho I’m sure Ridley Scott’s moonlit interpretation, panning across the rainwater-filled and potholed surface of a bleak, windswept, car park of a disused Mosside Spar store, was a very close second 😂😉😎

What’s the craic here..?

I aim to play music that touches the soul, lifts the spirit, soothes the mind, gets your fingers or feet tapping and may even have you dusting off your air guitar! The best music is timeless and, even if it is from 50 (or more) years ago, it is still 'new' if you haven't heard it so be prepared for selections that range from pre-release and classics, to, little heard, forgotten or overlooked tracks, handpicked from the archives. I’ve loved music for as long as I can remember...fond teenage memories of listening to John Peel, under the covers on ‘School nights’, on the state-of-the-art, tinny, transistor radio! My love for ‘Blues n Rock’ still burns but my horizons broadened considerably at the time and, whilst it may have ‘stalled’ in early nineties, my appetite for great ‘new’ music has only grown.

Sharing what I enjoy with other music lovers is one of life’s great pleasures.

So, stay tuned x
