Unfortunately, it's come to my attention that my brand name - Meir Digital - is being misused by a third party.

I do not know this third party, nor have I had dealings with them before - however, I believe they may be a nefarious actor seeking to gain personal information, including financial details.

I have strict policies and protections in place with the data that I possess, but I ask that under no circumstances will I ask for bank details, financial details or to "complete a form" for employment opportunities.

If you are unsure of an email pertaining to be from Meir Digital, please do not respond to it. Instead, please open a support ticket in the Client Portal, email me directly or text/call me.

Often, business owners raise the question of "how much is a website/social media management/SEO" when it's too late.
You service your car on a regular basis - oil, coolant, tyre checks... yet often, websites and social media is left by the wayside by small business owners.

Your website is your shop front. It's working for you 24-hours a day, and should be operating at it's best for each of those hours.

If your website is feeling neglected, it'll begin underperforming.

You won't get as many leads, you'll lose search engine rankings and people will stop visiting your website - and less website visitors usually means less customers and profit in your pockets.

Don't reach that point.

You're an "environmentally friendly" business, because you put all of your sales material online rather than in print - right?

Well... not necessarily.

The internet isn't environmentally friendly.

Repeat that last line, and think for a few seconds.

How many tabs are open on your web browser? How many predominantly-white websites, do you visit? Do you turn your laptop off, or just close the lid? How many copies of that draft letter do you need to be saved in the Cloud? And do you really need that email from nine years ago, sitting in your email..?

I'm making small changes, to become as environmentally friendly as possible.

The computer now gets turned off when I've finished with it. The screen brightness is turned low, and I use "dark" mode when possible. I refrain from opening multiple tabs. I'm clearing my Cloud storage, and working towards a clear email system.

Planting trees for each project contributes a little, but it's not enough by itself.

Sometimes, clients appear from nowhere on the back of recommendations!

This client was one such.

They needed a number of small tasks completing on their website that they just couldn't get their head around, including some custom HTML and CSS coding.

Within 24-hours of the initial phone call, the contract was signed, work completed and signed off (after a couple of revisions) and the website ready to publicise internationally.

For those of you who don't know - I'm Matt, and I offer freelance web design/development and digital marketing services.

Own a dot com domain?

You have until 1st September 2021 to renew your domain at the existing price, before it increases by at least 7%.

Word of warning - I've seen some registrars announcing an increase in prices by as much as 25% for the next 12-months... yikes! 😮

Prices will increase by at least 7% each year for the next four. It'll then freeze for two years, before increasing each year for another four... the cycle repeats itself.

You can renew your domain at any time for up to a maximum of 10-years, so if you can afford it, it may be worthwhile renewing today for as long as possible!

Yesterday, I experienced some technical issues outside of my control.

These issues included:
1. Email, and;
2. The client portal

No customer services were affected during this time, due to the measures and systems in place.

If you attempted to email me yesterday, please assume that I didn't get it if you haven't received a response from me yet.

The issues were rectified late last night. I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We've been made aware of a potential issue with invoicing of clients.

The system I use is fully-automated, producing and emailing invoices as-and-when specified. This system has been in place for over two years and has never failed in this manner.
