Howdy y'all! It's been a great few days in the Lonestar State and I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing some of the parts that I never expected to see in Texas! Just got back from an awesome rodeo at the Stockyards in the historic Cowtown Colliseum! Just a few short hours now until the first Marathon of 2024, The Cowtown Marathon is underway! I'm admittedly more nervous about this race as the conditions are forecasted to be a bit challenging with warmer temps into the 70's and gusty winds. So it'll be a "take it in stride" kind of day and make sure to, above all, cross that finish line and check #55 off the list! Keep all the participants in your thoughts

🚨 Your safety is our first priority! 🚨
The Cowtown Marathon officials have issued a heat advisory for the Marathon, Half Marathon and Miller Lite Ultra Marathon distances scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m., Sunday, February 25, 2024, from Will Rogers Memorial complex in Fort Worth, Texas.
According to the National Weather Service, runners should prepare for:
• 7:00 AM 55 degrees F.
• 9:00 AM 62 degrees F.
• 11:00 AM 71 degrees F.
• 1:00 PM 78 degrees F.
• 3:00 PM 83 degrees F.
Runners should expect south southwest winds of 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph and relative humidity to drop throughout the day.
