Something seriously unique is coming to the Farmington Valley… and it’s not your average after-school activity.
Spy Farm is planning to open in Spring 2026 at 9 Eastview Drive in FARMINGTON, sharing space with Nutmeg TV.
Spy Farm’s mission? Training the next generation for whatever life throws at them. Each class blends cognitive and physical modules, giving students a hands-on, minds-on experience unlike anything else in the area.
Students will dive into skills like electronics, computer security, hacking, and analytics, while also practicing escape tactics, self-defense, and real-world problem solving. It’s the perfect mix of knowledge and action.
We’ll be keeping an eye on this one 👀 Stay tuned as Spy Farm gets closer to opening!

Change is coming to Farmington Jewelers. The longtime shop has announced a new ownership transition, with local fine-jewelry designer Magda Pivo (Magdalene Pivoine) stepping in to take over.

The store will remain open and continue offering trusted services like repairs and custom work, while also welcoming fresh designs and a modern approach rooted in craftsmanship and ethical sourcing.

🚨 SCOOP ALERT 🚨
We’re sad to share that Pure Barre CANTON, located at 110 Albany Ave., Suite 924 in The Shops at Farmington Valley, will be closing its doors on Tuesday, December 16th.
We're hearing this space won’t be sitting empty for long...Ramen & Bao, which we reported in November as joining the shops, will be taking over this courtyard location.
The studio first opened in the early spring of 2022 and has been a part of the local fitness community ever since.
For those who love their barre workouts, there are several other barre studios and boutique fitness options nearby to help you keep your routine going.

A quick hop outside the Farmington Valley, but absolutely scoop-worthy. Big news coming out of Blue Back Square, WEST HARTFORD.
Coracora, the iconic, family-owned Peruvian restaurant is opening a brand-new flagship location at 51 Isham Road with a soft opening starting Wednesday, December 10th and running through January. A full scale and Grand Opening is planned for January 2026.
The Shield Street location in Elmwood will stay open and shift to a more fast-casual concept, spotlighting the Peruvian chicken and comfort dishes that made Coracora a local favorite.
Coracora’s new menu will feature their beloved classics plus new dishes inspired by regions across Peru, all rooted in their signature pillars:

More movement in the AVON Village Center… and this one’s big.
Romeo Athletics has officially closed their AVON location, but the space didn’t sit empty for long. Tower Longevity Clinic has moved into 60 Market Place, Suite 135.
Dr. Peter Inserillo, one of the owners and the Director of Performance & Nutrition, already has his fitness and nutrition coaching OPEN for business. His approach is fully personalized, designed for adults who want to get stronger, feel better in their bodies, and finally have real support instead of guesswork...all led by a doctor of physical therapy.
The medical services side of Tower Longevity is expected to open this Spring under Owner & Physician Dr. Ryan Millea. This space will bring advanced testing, physician-led care, hormone optimization, IV therapy, peptide programs, and recovery tools to Avon.
Their mission: a truly comprehensive, longevity-focused experience. Deeper lab testing, individualized medical plans, strength and nutrition coaching, and wellness therapies all under one roof.
