XQ the News was launched in 2023 as a transnational platform promoting innovation, mobility and cultural cooperation in Europe.

It publishes content edited by young people coordinated by experienced journalists, in English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese

💔 The XQ.EUJOY project is coming to an end - but while we're sad this learning opportunity is ending, we're happy to share the outcomes of this journey!

During these two years we:

📑 Provided journalism students from Italy, Portugal, and Spain with internships and training.

🎤 Organised an inspiring congress in Barcelona, featuring many keynote speakers and partner presentations.

🔍 Published over 100 articles in four languages on the XQ The News, addressing current social issues from a youth perspective and including an interactive section for media literacy education.

🌊 Took part in two editions of the Forum of Mediterranean Women Journalists.

Furthermore, we published the following resources:

‼️ The Train-the-Trainers course (Moodle-based), designed for educators working on media literacy through journalism.

📚 An eBook which summarises the project’s methodologies and key learnings.

The drastic reduction of USAID funding has impacted thousands of people all around the world.

According to Save the Children, one in eleven children in the world is in need of vital humanitarian assistance. Many children who were supported with USAID funds are now left without food or education.
