I could not be more proud of this group of girls. My Crime Scene Investigation team just finished 4th OVERALL IN THE NATION !!! My Job Skills Open competitor finished 9th in her competition. These girls are beyond amazing !! So blessed to have been their teacher and part of their lives !! Great job ladies !!!

Come and meet Morgantown’s finest !!! Speak with detectives, K9, and more and find out if you’ve got what it takes to join the Thin-Blue-Line !!

Next month, we’re hosting an Open House for those who are interested in becoming an officer! The evening will include light refreshments, a demo with the K-9 unit, a group discussion with the detective division, a tour of the new Training Facility, and a hands-on exercise with the training simulator. No prior experience is required for attendance. Stop by 1389 Earl L. Core Rd. anytime between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st to discover more about careers in the Morgantown Police Department. We’re looking forward to it and hope to see you there!

Last night was the awards ceremony for the 2024 SkillsUSA West Virginia State Championships and Leadership Conference. I was proud to have a total of 10 amazing students from my program competing in various competitions. Our CSI team (3 students) won our 4th CSI State Championship and will represent West Virginia at nationals in Atlanta, GA, this summer. Another of my students won the Job Skills Demo competition and will also be competing for a national title. A team of 5 others received silver medals for second place in the CJ Quiz Bowl. That’s 9 of 10 receiving either gold or silver medals!! I couldn’t be prouder of them. I’ve always been blessed with great students who make my job so much fun !!!
