I know I'm a bit late but yesterday i saw the movie by Prajesh Sen. Please do watch it in theaters.
First of all , I wouldn't say this is THE BEST FILM, it was a really good one and I understand the criticism you guys might make right now. As a football fan and lover, I was really able to understand (actually feel) the pain that the character V P Sathyan (played by Jayasurya) went thorugh. But as a film enthusiast, there were a lot of mistakes or ignorance from the direction part towards the attention to detail. There were a lot of moments when I was into the film and suddenly goes like " wait..what was that? why is it not suiting the time period or the mood".

was just outstanding in his performance. The way he portrayed the prime time and the downfall of V P Sathyan was brilliant. Even the depression the character had was very well conveyed to the audience. There weren't a lot of other supporting characters, all did the best for their character , including Anu Sithara.
The entire movie showcased a serious story from start till end, keeping us in that emotional or depressed zone, which is right for the story and I DO GET IT. But a slight glimpse of comedy here and there would have been good to kind of feel that relaxation in between.

At the end of the day this film is, as said by my parents with whom i went to watch the movie, for the football lovers who doesn't think football as a passion or a just a game...It is part of their life.
