RTW. Solo rider. KTM 500 Single.
Hi everyone- I’m Warren and this is Fremen, my custom built KTM 500 ADV bike.
I’m now 2 weeks into the ride. No fixed route, no timeline - just riding, sleeping and repeating as the fancy takes me.
I started with a shakeout ride from the UK up through the Nordics and its already been an experience- Denmark, Sweden and now Norway before I cross back into Sweden and Finland. I’ve ridden some great sections of the TET so far and also just followed my nose. Wild camping, hostels, hotels, crazy weather and way too much gear. Its been a journey of learning to live out of my Mosko R40 bags. So far I’ve posted back half of what I started with. The strangest thing has been getting used to not being tethered to anything familiar…oddly frightening and freeing at the same time.
I’ll be sharing weekly updates from the trail, with tips for anyone planning a similar trip - or just dreaming about it. Drop a comment or question if you’re curious- I’ll do my best to reply when I’ve got signal and a coffee.
