Catch Shark at The Barossa Airshow, 6 April 2025!

It will be a day packed with amazing aerial action, exciting entertainment and family fun, in South Australia’s beautiful Barossa Valley. Demo Pilot David Bradshaw will be there with Shark #080. Go and say G'day and watch his short flying display at 13:30.

The Barossa Airshow first took to the skies in 1998 and has become a nationally recognised aeronautical and community event. We wish Steve Ahrens, .bradshaw.31508, the Airshow Committee and everyone involved a wonderful show!

Tomorrow's 2025 Barossa Airshow, Sunday 6th April 2025, will have special traffic flow and parking arrangements in place for entering Rowland Flat Airfield. Please read the following information before you arrive tomorrow. This post contains important information on....

Event Entry Opens: 8:30am

🚦TRAFFIC FLOW IN/OUT OF AIRSHOW🚗 (Refer to map)
We encourage you to GET HERE EARLY.... if you want to beat the peak traffic trying to enter the event!
All traffic going into the airshow will turn off from the Barossa Valley Way onto KRONDORF ROAD, right onto NITSCHKE ROAD, then right again onto KOCH ROAD before entering the Airshow Carpark.
Koch Road is one way only to enable exit onto Barossa Valley Way all day.

🤗 Please also be patient. This event drives a high volume of cars onto otherwise quiet country roads and there will be traffic delays entering the event, thanks! We encourage you to carpool where possible to reduce the number of cars on the road🙏🏻

♿️LIMITED MOBILITY AND DROP OFF ZONE🚖
Allocated Parking for Disability Parking Permits is located closest to the entrance of the event. This is limited availability so please get here early to secure a spot if you require this.
Additionally, there will be a designated drop off zone for anyone arriving by taxi/uber/chauffeured vehicle (Lucky you!) that will not be parking at the event.

A quick overview:
*Fly-In aircraft are required to land before 10:30am sharp.
*The Flying Display will begin at 11:00am.
*Departures will be after the Flying Display has finished, at approximately 3:45pm, unless prior arrangements have been made.

A temporary restricted area (TRA) will be in place around Rowland Flat Airstrip this Sunday 6 April from 11:55 am – 12:20 pm for a Roulettes display associated with the Barossa Valley Airshow.

All pilots flying within the vicinity are required to monitor NOTAMS for short-notice timing changes.

The Republic RC3 Seabee is one of our more unique and unusual aircraft we have the privilege of seeing over the skies this Sunday at the 2025 Barossa Airshow! This all metal amphibious aircraft which can land on water as well, was first introduced in 1946, and had a unique target market of enticing returned servicemen from the war to continue recreational flying.

🕵🏻 If you're a James Bond fan, you may also recognise this type of aircraft in the 1974 film "The Man with the Golden Gun".... when he flies out to Scaramanga's island 🏝️
