Central Govt Team Visit # Khudwani Visits Kulgam, Reviews Flood Damages, visits sevral areas for on ground damage Assessments

An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) deputed by the Union Government today visited Kulgam and conducted extensive tour and also chaired a meeting at Dak Banglow Khanabal to review and assess damages caused by recent floods, cloudbursts, and landslides.
The IMCT comprised Col. K.P Singh, Advisor , Ops & Comm, NDMA, MHA,Shri Navin Kumar Chauraisa, Regional Officer, Jammu of MORTH, Ms Arti Singh Deputy Director Min of Power, CEA,Shri, Rakesh Kumar- Under Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development,Dr Vikram Singh Joint Director, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Smt Shachi Jain Director Ministry of Jal Shakti and Shri Kandarp V Patel Dy Secretary FCD.
The meeting was attended by The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, Senior officers of district administration and engineers from key departments including PWD (R&B), Jal Shakti, Irrigation & Flood Control, KPDCL, PMGSY, and officers from Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, FSC, and Revenue departments.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam,presented a detailed overview of the recent flood situation in the district.
The IMCT said that the observations and recommendations and damage report will be shared with the Union Government to ensure immediate relief as well as long-term resilience planning.
Later, the IMCT team also visited Khudwani, Qaimoo in Kulgam district to take an on-ground assessment of the damages and interact with people to record their demands & suggestions.
