🚨 Beware of Fake Visa Agents in Ghana! 🚨

There was a man in Accra known as “Mr. Perfect Visa.”
He always asked for half payment upfront, promised to deliver visas in “3 weeks,” then slowly stopped picking calls until he disappeared.

One lady, Adjoa, trusted him with her life savings. She packed her bags, dreaming of London… but her calls went unanswered. When she went back to his office, the place was empty with a “For Rent” sign.

Later, victims united and caught him at a café. Police dragged him away in handcuffs.

👉 Lesson: If a visa agent asks for half payment and later ignores you—RUN! He’s not a helper. He’s a thief.

The Dean of Students at the University of Cape Coast, Prof. Eugene Darteh, has called for the reintroduction of Moral and Civic Education to tackle rising indiscipline among students.

Speaking at the Feast of St. Augustine celebration in Accra on Friday, August 29, he revealed that disciplinary cases in senior high schools rose by 16% between 2020 and 2023.

He blamed the trend on weak home training, declining teacher discipline, and social media influence.

Prof. Darteh urged that Moral and Civic Education should go beyond exams to focus on mentorship, role models, and character building.

He also described current disciplinary systems as outdated, suggesting stronger counseling units, alumni support, and a National Discipline Charter.

He emphasized that punishment should correct behavior, not shame students, urging parents and schools to apply discipline fairly to rebuild morals and values in education.

Burkina Faso has introduced a prison reform that allows inmates and those awaiting sentences to work in the agricultural sector for reduced sentences. Under the new law, each month of agricultural labor equates to a three-month reduction in an inmate’s sentence. This move aims to rehabilitate prisoners, boost agricultural productivity, and align the justice system with indigenous values. The initiative also addresses domestic production and food insecurity by utilizing inmate labor.
