I don't often mix albums for others. When Richard Niles asked me to mix his Adventures for Piano and Cello, I asked him 'why me'. He said 'listen to this'.
Clive Dunstall is one of my favorite pianist and Dennis Karmazyn is now my favorite Cellist. And so (it came to pass) I spent the most wonderful day immersed in this transcendent blend of composition and performance. Richards musical brain is a thing of wonder. Hearing players capable of bringing that joyful creation into life is a total joy. Thanks Richard for such a fun reminder that fabulous music still exists.
I shall cherish this credit for mixing a Grammy nominated work of outstanding excellence.

In 1989 I accompanied Ronnie Johnson to Shrewsbury to meet Gary Shaw. A generational talent whose brilliant career was tragically ended prematurely by injury. We had a great time, Ronnie and Gary became firm friends and Ronnie wrote a song for the album we were producing at that time, GIVE THEM ENOUGH ROPE.
Ronnie's song GARY SHAW captures the energy of the person I met perfectly.
A beautiful memory with a hint of tragedy. Gary Shaw dead at 63.
Condolences to Ronnie and all who knew Gary. Its a European football night tonight. Many will take a moment to remember Gary. I know I will.

On Bob Dylan's 1983 album infidels, he wrote a song about Zionism. Bob called it The Neighborhood Bully. This was during his recovery period from his late 70's rebirth as a Christian where he dabbled in the dark legacy of Abraham.
For me, Dylan's darkest dalliance with deviance.

I’m the seventies in South Africa there were three Cretan Greeks in music. Constantinos Archondakis, Andreas Broulidakis, and Christos Ghelakis. We three have a familial link that goes back many centuries. To the days our ancestors fought the barbaric IOF.
