GENERAL ADVICE FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN LEADING THE NYCN IN SOKOTO STATE.

It appears there’s so much excitement in the air since the announcement of dissolution of the illegal faction in Sokoto State, and many are carried away by it, forgetting that there are important things to consider.

First of all, you need to grab a copy of the NYCN constitution and have the basic understanding of the aims & objectives of NYCN, and understand the principles that guide it.

It is also important for you to know, that a COMMITTEE has just being inaugurated to oversee the affairs of Nycn, that committee must settle, compile organizations that are eligible to vote, create a guideline and decide on when the elections should hold before you start engaging in full campaign activities. That should be in less six months, except otherwise as may be dictated by those in charge.

You must also know that to become an officer of the NYCN you must first be a registered member of the NYCN either through state chapters or through their affiliated organization I.e Man O’ War, Boys Scout and other uniformed and non uniformed organizations.

Lastly, prepare your manifesto which will carry your vision, and wait for the announcement of the committee to start actively campaigning. For now, focus on what you have to do, and continue permutations.

Tambuwal Allocates Portfolio To New Commissioners

Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has assigned responsibilities to the three new Commissioners he recently appointed.

With slight shifts in portfolios, the erstwhile Commissioner for Sports and Youths Development, Hon. Aminu Bala Bodinga will now head the Ministry of Land and Housing while Hon. Bashir Gorau replaces him at the Ministry of Youths and Sports.

Also, Gov. Tambuwal named Mal. Mainasara Ahmad (Mni) as the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning just as Mal. Abubakar Mai Kudi takes charge of the Ministry of Solid Minerals.
