From the opening blast of "Chapter 1: Darkness, Tears and Self-Destruction" you're plunged into a world of unrelenting brutality. The riffs are sharp and jagged, the drums a relentless battering ram, and the vocals a guttural roar that chills you to the bone.

"Chapter 2: Purification Through Suffering" is a relentless maelstrom of pure, unadulterated aggression. This is my favourite track. It's a sonic embodiment of despair, a crushing weight that leaves you gasping for air. The tempo is skullcrushing, It's a grim waltz of pain and torment, a reminder that even in the darkest depths, there is no escape from the cycle of suffering.

"Chapter 3: Frozen Spirit" is a chillingly beautiful interlude, a moment of quiet reflection amidst the chaos. It's a brief glimpse into the abyss before the final onslaught.

In a musical world saturated with ephemeral sounds, Rotten Coffin emerges as a beacon of authenticity with the new EP "Chapters Of Transmutation". The follow-up to their debut album "The Agony In Slumber" (2022) is an ode to old school Death Metal, immersing listeners in a sonic experience that is both brutal and refined. With modern production that highlights every nuance, the band manages to balance the genre's rawness with impressive clarity.

The EP consists of five (5) tracks, including two (2) instrumentals that function as an intro and an outro, creating a dark and enigmatic atmosphere that permeates the entire work. Just over nineteen (19) minutes long, every second is an intense journey where darkness and brutality intertwine in a sonic embrace.

The three (3) central tracks of the EP are a veritable whirlwind of cutting riffs and guttural vocals. The relentless energy that emanates from these songs captures the essence of 90s Death Metal, but with a renewed clarity and strength that makes every chord resonate powerfully.
